“Be gentle, kind, and beautiful, yet firm and strong, both mentally
and physically.”This is the motto
and mantra by which Keiko Fukuda lived her life.She passed away on Sunday at the age of 99, but her life and
legacy will not soon be forgotten.Keiko Fukuda was the first and only woman to ever achieve the rank of 10th
degree black belt in the sport of Judo.Her journey to this historical achievement was a truly inspirational one
and a testament to her indomitable warrior spirit.She dedicated her entire life to Judo and blazed a trail
for the future of women in martial arts.The way in which she lived her life should serve as an inspiration to us
all.
