1975. The fight was between Muhammad Ali
and Joe Frazier. After splitting their
first two fights, this was to be the rubber match that ended the very bitter and
public rivalry between two of boxing’s greatest heavyweights. The fight lasted an incredibly grueling 14
rounds in sweltering 38-degree heat, and is widely considered to be one of the
greatest boxing matches in the history of the sport.
Today, this legendary fight is known around the world as the
“Thrilla in Manila”. For over 30 years
the legend of this fight has lived on and served as the defining moment of the
Smart Araneta Coliseum. Now it is time for
