Today, we saw the dethroning of the longest reigning champion
in the history of the UFC. A man
that has been widely hailed as the greatest of all time, and who in previous
outings has seemed nothing short of invincible. Yet, at UFC 162, a fighter with just 9 professional fights
to his name, Chris Weidman, knocked out the great Anderson Silva. The method by which it happened was
anything but orthodox or expected, but there is no denying that the great aura
of Anderson Silva is now up for debate.
