Meet Derek Rabelo, a 19 year old surfer from Guarapari, Brazil. On a recent trip to Hawaii Derek’s dream came true when he surfed the world famous Banzai Pipeline. Surfing Banzai Pipeline is the dream of every surfer around the world, some achieve it and some don’t. What makes Derek’s story so unique is that he was able to realize this dream despite the fact that he is blind. That's right, Derek Rabelo has been blind since birth, but despite his handicap has chased his dreams and lived a life without limits.
