A Tribute to the Legends of PRIDE FC
One the eve of the UFC's return to Japan it seems fitting to pay tribute to the organization that put Japanese MMA on the map; Pride Fighting Championships. At the height of its glory Pride was the largest mixed martial arts organization in the world, setting the record for largest live MMA event audience at over 90,000 people. Notorious for its lax rules and "no holds barred" style, Pride was home to some of the greatest fights in the history of MMA and gave rise to stars such as Fedor Emelianenko, Dan Henderson, Renzo Gracie, Shogun Rua, Wanderlei Silva, Rampage Jackson, Mirko Cro Cop, Kazushi Sakuraba, and the list goes on and on. Check out this inspiring highlight video from the glory days of Pride. May the legends of Pride never die.
