Embrace the Grind

This past summer at the London Olympic Games, American freestyle wrestler Jordan Burroughs won his first Olympic gold medal at the age of 24.  How did he accomplish this remarkable feat?  The answer is quite simple.  He outworked every other wrestler in the world.

As a freshman in high school, Jordan’s record in wrestling was 16-10.  He went on to win a state championship his senior year.  As a freshman in college, Jordan’s record in wrestling was 16-13.  He went on to win 2 NCAA Division 1 National Championships.  Jordan is a true testament to the power of hard work and dedication.  He wasn’t always the best, and suffered through tough times early on in his career.  Yet, today he is a World and Olympic Champion.  He made himself into a great wrestler by embracing the grind.  Check out the below video in which Jordan explains his philosophy on training.
