Embrace the Grind
This past summer at the London Olympic Games, American
freestyle wrestler Jordan Burroughs won his first Olympic gold medal at the
age of 24. How did he accomplish
this remarkable feat?
The answer is quite simple.
He outworked every other wrestler in the world.
As a freshman in high school, Jordan’s record in wrestling
was 16-10. He went on to win a
state championship his senior year.
As a freshman in college, Jordan’s record in wrestling was 16-13. He went on to win 2 NCAA Division 1
National Championships. Jordan is
a true testament to the power of hard work and dedication. He wasn’t always the best, and suffered
through tough times early on in his career. Yet, today he is a World and Olympic Champion. He made himself into a great wrestler
by embracing the grind. Check out
