UFC 161 Preview: Henderson vs. Evans
“Boom, boom, boom, boom. Bang, bang, bang, bang.” This is the tagline for the upcoming
UFC 161 and it couldn’t be more fitting.
Despite some last minute shuffling of the card due to injuries, the
event has shaped up to be a very interesting one between some of the sport’s
heaviest hitters. In the main
event of the evening, two former world champions, Rashad Evans and Dan
Henderson, will look to prove they are still relevant in the light heavyweight
division.
In an equally interesting light heavyweight match up,
Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will take on the surging Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. While Shogun will be looking to rebound
from a tough loss, Nogueira is looking to make it three in a row inside the
Octagon. Rounding out the card is
the heavyweight clash between Roy Nelson and Stipe Miocic. Both of these guys hit hard and always
come to fight.
