History of WMMA

Do yourself a favor and take 5 minutes out of your day to sit back and enjoy this inspiring video on the history of women’s MMA (WMMA).  It has been a remarkable year for the women in MMA thus far.  The UFC finally opened its doors to women, and we were able to witness the first ever UFC main event carried by women.  Just last year, on a more local scale, we saw Evolve MMA’s Nicole Chua step into the ONE FC cage to become Singapore’s very first female professional mixed martial artist.  Women’s acceptance into MMA has been long overdue, and it is truly inspirational to now see them shining on the world’s largest stages.

These are exciting times for the sport of MMA.  Let’s all do our part and support these pioneers of women’s MMA as they help carry the sport into the future.
