Evolve Fight Team’s Jake Butler Wins ONE FC Debut! (photos)
This
past weekend saw Jake Butler from the Evolve Fight Team make his professional MMA debut in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at ONE Fighting Championship, Asia's largest MMA event. Jake won in spectacular fashion, registering a 1st round TKO
victory against Indonesian wrestling champion, Antoni Romulo. Jake perfectly executed
the game plan laid out by Chatri Sityodtong and Heath Sims.
He came out aggressively and went for an immediate takedown. From side control,
Jake transitioned to full mount and executed a vicious ground and pound attack
until his opponent rolled over to give Jake his back. Jake continued to rain
punches and elbows on Romulo until the referee waved off the fight and awarded
Jake the TKO victory.
