Yesterday, the Evolve Fight Team spent the day at Boys Town Home, Singapore's home for orphans, abandoned children, and underprivileged kids, for another BBQ sponsored by Evolve MMA. In addition to the regular BBQs, Evolve MMA provides free training to the kids of Boys Town Home at our Evolve PoMo location.
The inspiration for the Evolve Community Outreach Program is Kru Yodtong Senanan, the late Founder of Sityodtong Camp. Through out his life, he helped thousands of orphans and unwanted children through the art of Muay Thai.
Founder of Evolve MMA, Kru Chatri Sityodtong, explains, "At Evolve MMA, our mission is to make this world a better place through the power of martial arts. Martial arts changes lives. It instills confidence, mental strength, discipline, courage, humility, tenacity, work ethic, and so much more. Most of us on the Evolve Fight Team and Evolve Instructor Team have overcome poverty and hardship through the power of martial arts. It is the circle of life in action for us to be able to serve as role models and hope for the future for the kids of Boys Town Home. Most world champions at Evolve MMA come from a very similar background to that of the kids of Boys Town Home. The most important message that we can impart to the children is that it does not matter where you start in life. You can be anything you want to be in life."
Kru Chatri also added, "Without Richard Wee, the leader of the Evolve-Boys Town Home Program, none of this would have been possible. He is a true inspiration and role model for all of us in the Evolve Family. Not only has he become a true martial artist over the last 3 years, but he has dedicated his life to enriching the lives of everyone around him. Thank you to Papa Rich for everything!"
