Saenchai Sor Kingstar at Evolve MMA!
Saenchai Sor Kingstar, Muay Thai’s pound for pound king, is coming to Evolve MMA to give a two day seminar on July 30th and July 31st.
Saenchai is a phenomenal fighter who has been the most outstanding talent in the world of Muay Thai for over a decade. Earlier this week, Saenchai put on a Muay Thai clinic to defeat Thailand’s 2010 fighter of the year, Kongsak Sitbonmee, and he has already beaten top Australian fighter Kurt Finlayson and top English fighter Liam Harrison this year.
Saenchai was named Thailand’s fighter of the year in 1999 and then again in 2008. This is an incredible achievement because Muay Thai is very competitive and no other fighter in history has managed to remain at the top of the sport for an entire decade.
What makes Saenchai so exciting to watch is the incredible array of unusual techniques with which he bamboozles opponents. His favourite involves turning a harmless looking cartwheel (the kind that schoolgirls like to practise in the playground) into a devastating kick in the face. He is also a master at knocking opponents off balance or sweeping them off their feet.
Saenchai will be reunited with some familiar faces at Evolve MMA. Evolve Muay Thai World Champions, Orono Wor Petchpun and Namsaknoi Yudthagarngamtorn, are two of only a handful of men to have beaten Saenchai Sor Kingstar.
Saenchai has held the Lumpinee Stadium title at an incredible four different weight classes and is the reigning WMC Lightweight champion. He won the Toyota Cup last year, an eight man tournament, stopping all of his opponents inside two rounds. He also made a brief foray into the world of boxing and won the PABA featherweight title before retiring undefeated.

Tickets are available at $100 for one day / $150 for two days for Evolve students and $150 for one day / $200 for two days for the general public. The seminars will be taking place at Evolve Far East Square and all Muay Thai classes will be cancelled during this period.
