Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Mundials World Champion joins Evolve Mixed Martial Arts!

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Mundials World Champion, Rafael "Gordinho" Correa Lima, officially joined Evolve Mixed Martial Arts to head up the Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Program at Evolve.

Prior to joining Evolve, Rafael was the senior most Black Belt instructor (after Renzo Gracie himself) at the Renzo Gracie Academy in New York. The Renzo Gracie Academy in New York is the world's largest BJJ academy with over 1200 students in a single location. He was also the Program Director for the Renzo Gracie Academy where he worked with Renzo to formulate the Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu system. Rafael was the Mundials World Champion in 1998 in the Black Belt division.

Rafael holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt under Carlos Gracie Jr and is a senior member of Gracie Barra. He is widely viewed as one of the most technical fighters of his era. Rafael's brother is the famous BJJ Black Belt, Roberto "Gordo" Correa, the inventor of the half-guard.
