Countdown to UFC 172: Jones vs. Teixeira
This weekend at UFC 172, reigning UFC Light Heavyweight
Champion Jon Jones is all set to make his seventh title defense. The challenger is Brazilian knockout
artist Glover Teixeira. Although
Jon Jones has run through almost every challenger thus far with relative ease,
Teixeira presents a very different type of opponent. Teixeira is a very well rounded fighter, but his most
dangerous weapon is his well proven one punch knockout power. It will be very interesting to see what
game plan Jon Jones implements for this fight, and if Glover will be able to
find an answer to Jones’ overwhelming reach advantage.
