UFC Hall of Fame Induction Video
Over the weekend, two of MMA’s great warriors, Forrest
Griffin and Stephan Bonnar, were inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Griffin is a former UFC Light
Heavyweight Champion who spent over 7 years competing against the UFC’s
elite. Bonnar, although never
winning a title, also spent over 7 years in the UFC and rose to become one of the sport's most
recognizable stars.
While there are plenty of UFC fighters with comparable
accomplishments inside the Octagon, it is a single fight that largely defined
Griffin and Bonnar’s careers. The
date was April 9th, 2005 and it was The Ultimate Fighter 1
Finale. The UFC was not in good
shape at this point, and it was questionable if they would even survive. Griffin and Bonnar went to war that
night in what is considered by Dana White himself to be the single most
important fight in the history of the UFC. If you haven’t seen this fight, go do so immediately. It is the fight that put the UFC on the
map, converting casual fans to hardcore MMA fanatics.
