Ronda Rousey made mixed martial arts history this weekend by
defeating Liz Carmouche in the main event of UFC 157. In doing so, Rousey retained her UFC Women’s Bantamweight
World Title and became the face and future of women’s MMA. Rousey now owns a professional record
of 7-0. She has won all 7 of her
fights by first round submission via armbar. Never in the history of MMA has one person used one
technique so effectively. Can
anyone stop her armbar or even survive a single round with her? Only time will tell, and it will
certainly be fun finding out.
