Movie Recommendation: The Hammer
For those in need of a little inspiration, the Hollywood adaptation of UFC fighter Matt “The Hammer” Hamill’s life story is one worth checking out. Matt Hamill was born deaf, but despite his perceived disability, was able to become the first deaf person to win a collegiate wrestling national championship. Following his collegiate wrestling career, Matt went on to become a very successful mixed martial artist on the world’s biggest stage, amassing a 9-4 record in the UFC. The movie is an excellent depiction of Matt’s true warrior spirit and what it takes to become a champion. Check out the trailer for “The Hammer” below, and pick up a copy of the DVD to be inspired.
